Extruded porcelain. Engineered façade.

Frontek is an ICC-certified, double-ventilated rainscreen system built from extruded porcelain panels — an open-joint façade that meets full code requirements while giving design teams more than eighty colors, six texture families, and panel sizes up to one meter by three.

What is Frontek

A single-source façade, three ways to think about it.

Frontek is a complete extruded-porcelain rainscreen — tile and structure, engineered together. Specify it for the material, the system, or the performance. The honest answer is all three.

01 / Material

Extruded porcelain

Honeycomb-structured ceramic, factory rectified on all four edges. Hard, lightweight, and dimensionally stable — porcelain that arrives precise and stays that way.

02 / System

Open-joint rainscreen

Double-ventilated assembly: porcelain panel, open joint, ventilated cavity, Plus subframe. Pressure-equalized drainage and continuous airflow — building science, on display.

03 / Performance

Code & climate

ICC-ES certified. Compliant with ASTM E119, NFPA 285, and ASTM E136. Non-combustible, non-absorptive, freeze-thaw stable, and acoustically engineered for ~4 dBA improvement at 1 kHz.

NFPA 285 · Fire compliant
Anatomy of the assembly

A wall built in five layers.

From the substrate out: insulation, ventilated cavity, Plus subframe, open joint, and the porcelain panel itself. Each component does one job. Together they form a pressure-equalized rainscreen.

Porcelain vs. the alternatives

How Frontek measures up against the field.

Side-by-side specs sourced from Frontek's published material comparison. Every cladding material trades something — Frontek trades almost nothing.
